Auxiliary Dwelling Units

AUXILIARY DWELLING UNIT (ADU)
In Central California and especially in Santa Cruz County the laws are in flux regarding ADUs. ACME Building Consultants is working with a land-use consultant to evaluate non-conforming, unpermitted ADUs. With a successful transition we can help you turn a liability to a significant asset.
We can assist with researching the possibility of having a unit permitted. We confer with the local planning department to determine the required parameters to legalize your auxiliary dwelling unit.
Once we determine that the unpermitted unit has the possibility of becoming legal we inspect the structure. Once inspected we can determine the estimated costs associated with the permitting fees, construction renovation or other upgrades necessary to bring the ADU to compliance. You can choose to be provided with an outline to follow or we can walk you through the permitting process. Necessary upgrades and repairs can be estimated or we can handle the subcontracting and oversight on your project.
